Rais Magufuli atema cheche anguko la bei ya korosho Tanzania

Rais Magufuli na Wairi Mkuu Kassim MajaliwaPanda shuka za zao la korosho nchini Tanzania zimemvuta Rais John Pombe Magufuli na sasa ametishia tena kuchukua hatua kali.
Siku chache zilizopita msimu mpya wa mauzo ya zao la korosho ulifunguliwa huku bei ya zao hilo zikishuka maradufu.
Korosho ndio chanzo kikuu cha fedha na tegemeo la kiuchumi kwa wakazi wa mikoa ya kusini mwa Tanzania.
Wakaazi hao kutokana na unyeti wa sekta hiyo waligomea bei mpya kati ya Sh1,900 mpaka Sh2,700 kwa kilo ikiwa ni anguko la kutoka wastani wa Sh4,000 kwa kilo msimu uliopita.

Kutokana na hali hiyo, mbunge wa upinzani na kiongozi wa chama cha ACT Wazalendo ambaye amekuwa mwiba kwa serikali ya Magufuli amewaambia waandishi kuwa serikali haiwezi kukwepa lawama.
"Badala ya Serikali kulichukulia zao la korosho kama la kimkakati imekuwa haisikii, haielewi, na sasa imeharibu kuku anayetaga mayai ya dhahabu katika nchi yetu," amesema.
Jana hiyo hiyo Rais Magufuli alifanya kikao na wanunuzi wakuu wa zao hilo na kuwaeleza kuwa serikali inaunga mkono msimamo wa wakulima.
Magufuli alienda mbali kwa kusema serikali yake ipo radhi kuzinunua korosho zote kwa bei inayowafaa wakulima na kuziuza katika masoko ya kimataifa nchini Marekani na Uchina.
"…nipo tayari hata kutumia majeshi yetu kununua korosho na tutatafuta masoko ya uhakika ili tuuze kwa bei nzuri" amesisitiza Rais Magufuli.
Hata hivyo, wafanyabiashara hao wamekubali kununua korosho kwa bei isiyopungua shilingi 3,000. Serikali pia imekubali kwa upande wake kuondosha baadhi ya tozo na vikwazo vilivyopelekea wafanyabiashara kushusha bei.

Awali ilikuwa marufuku kwa korosho kutoka mikoa ya Mtwara na Lindi kusafirishwa kupitia bandari nyengine isipokuwa ya Mtwara lakini serikali sasa imeruhusu kutumika kwa bandari ya Dar es Salaam pia.
Kutoka bandari ya Dar, korosho husafirishwa kwa Sh47 kwa kilo kwa kutumia meli ambazo zimeleta mizigo mingine ikilinganishwa na bandari ya Mtwara ambako kilo moja inasafirishwa kwa shilingi 203/- kwa kutumia meli zinazokodiwa kwa ajili ya kubeba korosho tu.
Mapema mwezi Mwezi Juni mwaka huu kulikuwa na mnyukano bungeni ambapo wabunge bila kujali tofauti zao za kisiasa walikuwa wakiyapinga mapendekezo ya serikali katika Sheria ya Fedha wa mwaka 2018 kwa kuchukua asilimia 100 ya tozo za mauzo ya korosho nje ya nchi (Export levy) kupelekwa mfuko mkuu wa fedha za serikali.
Awali, asilimia 65 ya tozo hiyo ilikuwa ianenda kwenye mfuko wa zao hilo na baadae kurejeshwa kwa wakulima kupitia pembejeo. Hoja ya wabunge wakiongozwa na kamati ya bajeti ilikuwa, hatua ya kuchukua fedha zote ingeleta athari kubwa kwa maendeleo ya zao hilo na wakulima wake.

Mjadala ukawa mkali lakini hoja ya serikali ikapita. Baadae, Rai John Magufuli akasema hakupendezwa na namna ya wabunge wa CCM hususani wa mikoa ya kusini kwa namna walivyolijadili suala hilo, na akatishia kuwa laiti wangeliandamana basi angetuma askari wawaadhibu.
Baadhi ya wakosoaji akiwemo Zitto wanahusianisha kinachoendelea kwenye anguko la bei na hatua ya serikali ya kuchukua fedha zote za tozo za mauzo ya korosho nje ya nchi.
"Mnaweza kuona fedha za kigeni tunazoenda kupoteza kwa uamuzi wa Serikali kuchukua fedha zote za export levy (ushuru wa forodha) badala ya kupeleka zinakostahili," amesema Zitto.
Msimu wa mwaka jana, serikali ya Tanzania iliingiza kiasi cha dola 209 milioni za Marekani kutokana na zao la korosho.

Mexico elects Claudia Sheinbaum as first woman president

Claudia Sheinbaum has been elected as Mexico's first woman president in an historic landslide win. Mexico's official electoral authority said preliminary results showed the 61-year-old former mayor of Mexico City winning between 58% and 60% of the vote in Sunday's election.
